Synopsis

Mehndi with his flamboyant presence, distinguished style and immaculate voice released a virtual vault containing 10 gems ‘Nach Ni Shaam Kurey’ in 2002. Each one an ace, with one — ‘Dig Dig Daisy’ — from Mehndi's earlier album, Leheriya, with the same music label, Universal, ‘Nach Ni Shaam Kurey’ was the ultimate chill.

An amalgamation of genres like hard rock, ballad, rap, folk, blues, trance and sufiana music, the album boasted of excellent music and created a rage amongst listeners.

Trivia

While touring Mauritius, Mehndi made a promise to his Bhojpuri-speaking fans – around four years before the release of Nach Ni Shaam Kurey & the track ‘Laage Na Jeeya’ from ‘Nach Ni Shaam Kurey’ was the singer's promise fulfilled.

Careful as not to get into the lewd lyrics trap that Bhojpuri songs had become synonymous with, Mehndi made sure that his Bhojpuri song got a wonderful western treatment. The track turned out to be a catch infectious super hit track.
